By booking an appointment at Scooby’s Dog Groomers you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions. At Scooby’s Dog Groomers I pride myself in treating your dog like my own. The Terms and Conditions ensure the safety of myself and the dog while the grooming is taking place.

GDPR:

All personal details given to Scooby’s Dog Groomers will be held via paper copy and stored in a locked cupboard. This information will not be shared outside of the business. 

Dangerous Dogs/Behaviour:

When booking your dog, it falls upon the owner to inform Scooby’s Dog Groomers of any aggressive behaviour of the dog in or out of the grooming salon environment. Scooby’s Dog Groomers reserves the right to refuse to groom your dog if it puts any staff or itself in danger. We reserve the right to muzzle the dog or ask you to pre muzzle your dog if it shows aggressive behaviour. If your dog shows aggression and it wasnot pre-discussed resulting in the groom not being able to take place, you will incur the cost of the whole groom. If Scooby’s Dog Groomers is able to do the groom but with issues due to the dogs behaviour, you will incur a cost of £10. This is due to the risks the dog shows and the time added to the groom to control the behaviour.

Fleas:

Fleas on a dog can result in extra cleaning and chemicals to kill the fleas within the salon. If you bring your dog into the salon and the dog has fleas, this will be an extra £10 added onto 50% of the grooming price. The grooming process will stop and you will be contacted to come and collect your dog. ​

Toilet:

Please ensure you have given your dog the opportunity to go to the toilet prior to your appointment. This way the salon is kept as hygienic and clean as possible. 

Matting:

​In the event that a dog is brought into the salon who has matted fur, you agree that Scooby’s Dog groomers will clip off the matted area. If the dog is severely matted, you will be asked to sign a separate form. Scooby’s Dog Groomers is not liable for any nicks, cuts or other potential problems that may occur whilst de-matting. Scooby’s Dog Groomers is also not liable for any after grooming effects of dematting the dog. When de-matting, in some cases, we will have to use our shortest blade which can result in the dog being patchy, short and your desired look may not be met. Matting on a dog can become very uncomfortable for the dog. Scooby’s Dog Groomers will not groom a dog that is matted if the owner does not agree for it to be shaved off. An extra fee of £10 will be added onto the end bill as de-matting a dog blunts the blades and adds time to the grooming process.

Photographs:

Your dog will be photographed before, during and after the groom. These photos may be used on social media or marketing material. This could include but not limited to, leaflets, instagram or facebook. If you do not want your dog's photos shared on these platforms please inform us prior to the groom or when booking in.

Vaccinations and Medication:

I would strongly recommend that your dog is fully up to date with their vaccinations. Although the salon is sanitised and cleaned multiple times a day, Scooby’s Dog Groomers is not liable if your dog contracts any viruses/diseases. Scooby’s Dog Groomers cannot administer any medication provided to the owner by the vet, excluding shampoo.

Pricing and Payments:

When getting a quote for your dog the prices will always be ‘from’, this depends on factors once the groom is taking place. A final price will be determined upon collection. Please see other T&C’s to see what can be added to your groom. Payment will be made upon collection via cash or bank transfer. If it is via bank transfer, proof will be required. 

Dropping and Collecting your dog:

Please make sure to bring your dog at the time you booked in for, if you are running late, please contact us. When collecting your dog, I will contact you 30 minutes prior to the groom ending. Unless we have a pre arranged time, please wait for the text or phone call. 

Pre-Existing Medical Conditions:

Whilst grooming, I might find pre existing medical issues that could come to light. In this case, Scooby’s Dog Groomers is not responsible for any conditions or issues that are discovered when grooming.

​Missed or Cancelled Appointments:

Scooby’s Dog Groomers understand if sometimes you need to cancel or miss an appointment. All we ask is that you provide us with 48 hours notice. If you cancel within the 48 hours, you will incur a charge of 50% of the original groom price. If you cancel on the same day, you will incur the cost of the full groom. If you miss your appointment without informing Scooby’s Dog Groomers, you will incur the whole cost of your groom, and on your next booking, you will need to pay 50% up front.

Accidents:

Although it is unlikely an accident will occur during the grooming process, there needs to be steps in place. By bringing your dog to Scooby’s Dog Groomers you are authorising us to seek Emergency Veterinary treatment if required from the vets or myself performing first aid. Due to the nature of grooming and how the dog is feeling, there may be a possibility of accidents. This could include but is not limited to cuts, knicks or quicking the nail. Scooby’s Dog Groomers are not responsible for paying a vet bill or for any accidental death of a dog which resulted from a pre-existing condition.
